Cloud observability startup OpsCruise today emerged from stealth and announced it has landed a $5 million round of funding. The company says the funds will bolster its go-to-market and hiring efforts as it ramps up deployment of its cloud-hosted products.

Observability tool sprawl is a significant and widespread issue for engineers. According to a recent Logz.io survey, 63% of respondents report using more than one observability tool, while close to 14% use five or more. However, 73% of respondents to the same survey say log management and analysis tools are critical to observability.
