TAtech is pleased to announce that David Yang, PhD will present the Opening Keynote at the TAtech Leadership Summit on AI & Machine Learning in Talent Acquisition. The conference will be held at the University of Chicago in Chicago on April 6-7.

Dr. Yang has been described as a serial entrepreneur with a doctorate in artificial intelligence. In a profile in California Business Journal, he said that “AI is a base that is redefining the way we live, the way we work, the way we enjoy our life.”

Today, he is the Founder and Chairman of ABBYY, a leader in content IQ, a technology that automates document processing and turns unstructured content into actionable information, and the Founder and CEO of Yva.AI (pronounced “eva”), a company that helps organizations become more efficient while also helping employees become happier and more productive.

His Keynote will explore the reality of AI as an HR and talent acquisition resource today and in the next 1-2 years. He will also address the cultural, organizational and leadership adjustments that will be necessary to leverage the full power of the technology and the importance of thinking about retention as an integral consideration of recruitment.

The TAtech AI Summit will feature a half-day introductory program – Artificial Intelligence 101 – for non-technologists cohosted by the DirectEmployers Association. This program will offer a number of hype-free sessions on the basics on AI – what is it, what isn’t it, how is it used for talent acquisition and how do you bring it into a recruiting organization effectively. It will conclude with the Summit’s Welcome Reception.

The next day, the Summit will offer a jam-packed program of presentations, panels, case studies and moderated discussions on the current capabilities, implementation lessons-learned and best practices and remaining challenges of using AI and machine learning for recruitment. Designed for both HR and Talent Acquisition execs and senior members of their teams and tech company CEOs and their direct reports, the Summit offers an intimate setting for learning, meaningful dialogue and information exchange.
