Hyr, a Toronto, Canada-based firm, announced a $1.6 million CAD seed round led by Flybridge Capital Partners, with participation from Newark Venture Partners and XFactor Ventures. This latest injection brings Hyr’s total funding to $2.9 million. Hyr’s platform allows restaurants and retailers to a worker to fill shifts on demand. Shift workers looking for extra money can scroll through postings that include pay rates, location, and include their desired schedule, while restaurants can post listings and view profiles of potential candidates. The service also lets users get paid at the end of each shift instantly and collect ‘UPoints,’ which can be redeemed for paid days off, or put towards personal goals like savings or health benefits.
StaffMe, a Paris, France-based provider of a platform that connects companies with temporary staff, raised €3m in Series A funding. Backers included Turenne Capital and M Capital Partners. The company plans to further accelerate its business reach in France. Led by president Amaury d’Everlange, StaffMe leverages algorithms to connect freelancers with temporary staff in such fields as sales, administration, and logistics. CareerBuilder Employment Screening has announced that independent auditors conducting a Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type 2 examination on the company’s operations have issued a report which reads that CareerBuilder Employment Screening management maintains effective control over the privacy, security and confidentiality of its employee background screening system. The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) established the SOC guidelines to protect customer and third-party information. This Type 2 report, produced by independent auditor A-Lign, details the testing of the security and availability controls used in production at CareerBuilder Employment Screening. Recruiter.com, an online global recruitment marketplace platform, announced a partnership with HireMatch.io, one of the most advanced cryptocurrencies for the worldwide job market. The relationship will allow job seekers, employers, and recruiters all over the world to leverage the innovative new HireMatch (HIRE) cryptocurrency token. HireMatch is the first decentralized blockchain employee recruitment platform that eliminates the friction and costs of third-party intermediaries in the search for talent. The (HIRE) cryptocurrency will be propagated on the Recruiter.com marketplace platform to transact splits. Employers will also be able to use the (HIRE) currency to post jobs on the marketplace platform. As a currency that adds value to multiple stages of the recruitment life cycle, the (HIRE) currency also allows job seekers to refer friends or business associates to fee-based jobs and earn a reward in return. The technology will be tied into the ERC20 blockchain. It will also be a token standard, ensuring that wallet apps and exchanges can accept and interact with any ERC20 token easily. The token will be trading on multiple trading platforms in the coming months.
Leoforce announced a strategic integration partnership between Arya, their AI recruiting platform, and leading ATS and CRM provider, SmartSearch. This addition to their growing list of partners will create a seamless artificial intelligence candidate sourcing, applicant tracking, and candidate relationship experience for both Arya and SmartSearch users.

The acquisition marks a strategic investment into an innovative recruiting service process coined ‘Recruiting as a Service’ (RaaS). The addition of the Mainz recruiting process into the bowmo AI-based Machine Learning software platform will allow for an accelerated, efficient and value-based recruiting experience for both organizations, clients and prospects.
Paññã, a revolutionary online recruitment solution developed by Mroads was announced recently. Paññã will redefine the way companies hire talent in the modern day. With this platform, hiring can be done through the AI-based video conference application.
