I am a life-long student of hiring with a passion for conversations about how every stakeholder in the recruiting process finds meaningful work; technology & data that contribute to employer & candidate decisions; and, an organizational strategy for talent management that is sustainable.
CareerXroads, founded in 1995, nurtures a growing community of world-class Talent Acquisition leaders who…
…care deeply about improving their recruiting strategy, technology systems and business results
…share openly what works and, what doesn’t.
…challenge each other to focus on measure-able outcomes.
…recognize that execution, not just the idea, is what makes a competitive practice successful.
We meet during the year IRL around the world. In between, we learn from one another every day, virtually.
More than observers, Chris Hoyt, and I want…staffing models to be driven by the evidence; candidate experiences that empower them to make better decisions in partnership with the employers selecting them; and, technology that amplify competitive practices and candidate experience.
In 2010, I joined with other volunteers in the industry to form TalentBoard to oversee the Candidate Experience Awards (www.thecandes.org). This addition to the ‘open source’ movement continues to define, measure and honor the firms who are committed to treating candidates as partners in the hiring process. More than 200,000 candidates from 300 participating employers completed a comprehensive survey about their treament during the hiring process in 2017. Join us in 2018.
Finally, after years of discussion, the Association for Talent Acquisition Professionals (www.ATAPglobal.org) launched in 2017 elevating what has been mostly a craft or trade or at best a function of HR, to a stand-alone profession. Join us and help create a premier 21st century professional association.
